ABSTRACT

As Linux continues its spectacular rise in popularity and adoption particularly in the commercial and corporate markets, a new series of challenges start to emerge, those that are very familiar to enterprise software companies, are now being asked of Linux, I will outline the challenges and Red Hats response with increased and more responsive services being demanded, contractual obligations being more restrictive, whilst at the same time the pace of development and Open Source contribution is exploding. How do we combine the energy and creativity with mundane realities of large scale enterprise wide deployments?

About the speaker

Colin Tenwick is VP and General Manager Red Hat Europe since June 1999. He is responsible for setting up and building Red Hat Operations in Europe, including Sales, Distribution, Support Services, Training, Marketing and Engineering.
