T_E_lephone _NU_mber _M_apping (ENUM) is a method to E.164 numbers into the Domain Name System and tie specific services to them. When ENUM is deployed users can tie various internet services such as voice over IP, messaging or agendas to telephone numbers. To paraphrase: ENUM provides the glue between the keypad on a phone and services offered on the Internet.

In this presentation we give an overview of the technology, the operational experiences and provide a summary of ongoing work within the IETF.

The presentation may touch upon some of the regulatory issues with ENUM.
